Interestingly, wear and tear of the ankle joint is a relatively rare disease of the ankle joint. Symptoms are persistent pain as well as restricted movement.
My treatment spectrum
Osteoarthritis of the ankle joint can be treated either by artificial stiffening – the so-called Arthrodesis – or by total endoprosthetic replacement of the surfaces. This artificial ankle joint is fully loadable and suitable for sports.
